Banhowsaohai is a woven fabric that is part of every Thai person’s cultural heritage. Meanwhile, Thai Yuen design reflects ethnic identity and a sense of place connected with ancestors of long ago. The objects are closely tied to the people’s history, traceable along migration routes to far-flung locales. Now Banhowsaohai itself can support the smaller community of Bannsaohai, Saraburi, in its own precious conservation efforts.
